that they are lol! Redcar beach is not too bad, we went to seaton carew on sunday and it is MINGING!!! It used to be a gorgeous beach and has won awards, but now it is a disgrace. I'm looking forward to taking Molly to Bamburgh castle and the beach there when we go in may.

Aye, thats a nice beach up there. At least it was the last time I was up there. I've only ever actually been through Seaton Carew on the train, never really had the urge to get off the train and wander round.
How was The Golden Compass Debbie?

How was The Golden Compass Debbie? I actually really enjoyed it! It was definitely one of those films that you can't afford to doze off in, otherwise the whole plot could be lost as there was so much going on. I liked Nicole Kidman as a baddie and was quite interested to see that Daniel Craig did not spend a lot of time on screen at all - maybe in the sequels? Good special effects especially the polar bears and the character's 'daemons' which are sort of animal alter-ego's that tag along wherever the character goes. I want one. ;D I really wanted to see the next film straight away, does anyone know when this is to be realeased? I can thoroughly recommend this one even if you go without a littlie! Small children or sleepy adults may find it quite hard to keep up with the plot.

Not a clue when it comes, probably christmas (like LOTR). I did test on the website for the film and my deamon is apparently a Jackal called Photion. Daniel Craig probably won't get that much more screen time next time as the kids go through the dust - very complicated and I can only vaguely remember the stuff from the books as it's been so long since I read them. My parent's found it dull but I loved it. My sister found it a little slow aswell so maybe it had something to do with the fact I had read the books. Maybe not, I dunno. Glad you enjoyed it though.

I checked on the website, thanks jimee. My daemon is Aradion a Jackal. Would've rather had something cute and cuddly!

Thanks for the warning.
Deb, it's good to hear we have the same deamon or do you reckon they only have a choice of 5? lol.

I think they probably do LOL! Someone else should have a go and see if they get a jackal. Mind you, it could've been that vicious monkey.
I saw Enchanted the other day (a bit late again I know). The girl's loved it but I found myself dropping off in the middle. I found the main character of the princess very annoying actually which probably had something to do with it. That said, it is a good family type film if a little mindless LOL! I did like the way they were catapulted into the middle of New York and the woman who shouted 'nobody stabs my bus'.

by the way "PS! I love you" is not shown in a cinema in Tartu!! i'm furious. It premiered in Tallinn( yeah i could go there but still it's 186km away ) in janury , but it will not come here!!! Gosh- seems like i'm living in a village ( actuallly i'm not. Tartu is the second largest town in Estonia with 100.000 habitants) but with just one little cinema.
Have you seen a film "No reservations" starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Aaron Eckhart? I really like that one

Sorry, I haven't seen No Reservations either. The whole thing reminded me too much of another film. The chipmunk was just cute. When it kept trying to tell him what was going on in the restaurant
