Well I am trying to sort out a Fifi themed party for Molly next tuesday (you are all invited of course!!). And during all this I am currently having approx 2 hours sleep per night as the poor wee bugger is teething really badly. (Any advice would be greatly apreciated!)
Jimme - I soooooooooo wanna see Avenue Q!!!!!

Something rubbery for her to chew on should help. Thats what I used to have and thats what my mam used with the kids she was childminding when they were teething. I'm mainly rushing to see it this summer because Daniel is in it atm and he's only definitly contracted til november.
Hope your party goes well.

And during all this I am currently having approx 2 hours sleep per night as the poor wee bugger is teething really badly. (Any advice would be greatly apreciated!) Poor Molly (and Cesca)! Teething is a real pain and often gives them other 'strange' symptoms! I just used a kind of plastic teething ring which had some liquid inside it. You could put it in the fridge so that when they tried to bite on it the feeling was nice and cool. I always had another one in the fridge so that I could alternate. Apart from that I used all the usual things, but one of them (can't remember which) liked those 'bicciepeg' biscuits which have\had a string through them. Found this link: www.olivers-baby-care.co.uk/Bickiepeg/20pol817p.aspI hope the party goes well

Cheers lovely Debs, I think I bought out the local chemist! She has had bickipegs before, and like you said I tend to have two teethers one the go, one in the fridge and one gaffer-taped in her mouth! We ended up at the docs today as she has been poorly ever since christmas eve, the poor wee mite has a chest infection, but thanks to my friend antibiotic (although you never know if you are doing more harm that good giving it), she seems a lot happier in herself and is currently crawling around the living room with her p.j's in her hand!

Did they give you that lovely yellow antibiotic liquid with the syringe thing? Oh what fun trying to insert it into clenched gums\teeth and then waiting for it to be spat out all over the place. I hope lovely Molly is better than mine at taking it and also that it works in time for her FiFi doo!

Mix it with something else. It's easier to get it in that way. You may not be supposed to do that but it does work.

Oh since I ended up being sprayed with calpol many months ago, I now mix anything remotely medicinal with either her milk or a little juice. Yes Debs, she has that lovely yellow stuff that is stickier than anything I have ever encountered!!! The wierd thing is Adam can't swallow tablets (he almost died choking on an ice cube when he was ickle) so he has to have antibiotics the same way as kiddies do.......anyway, he had the same yellow goo a few months back and it made him sick, so when we got her prescription he actually turned green lol!!!

I found it stains too! My two got wise that I was mixing things into their drinks and spat those out too - so there was nothing for me to do but tickle them and squirt the stuff down then hold their mouth closed until they swallowed. Some sticky yellow stuff always escaped though lol. Oh the joys of parenting! Poor Adam!
