I saw the concert in Antwerp (Belgium) last night, together with my mum. We arrived pretty late because we went shopping and had dinner, but ended up pretty close to the stage and had a very good view. From the second it started until the end, the venue rocked! The new songs also sounded very good live. What a night! The spirit of Freddy was definately there So those are you who are going, make sure you put on your dancing shoes

so glad you enjoyed the gig Ellen! my experience of seeing Queen & PR a couple years back was quite different. named by many as the 'gig in the gazebo', (as it was held in the temporary 'wembley pavilion' structure) it was very badly organised - all flat floor seating in this long and narrow 'tent' area with no video screens. i didn't even capture a glimpse of brian's hair. that such a well established band could screw up so badly was quite unbelievable. so many were disappointed that nite. never again. -ing x

Sounds like you had an awesome time Ellen! I hope anybody else who might be attending an upcoming date has a great time too and that they don't suffer a disappointment similar to our lovely Ingy - although you probably can't blame Queen for the state of the venue or the organisation (or lack of). Personally, I had a ball when I saw them a couple of years back at Brixton Academy...but to be fair, I was rather drunk for most of the proceedings so would probably have enjoyed a strangled cats chorus in that condition! What I remember very clearly though was the incredible atmosphere of the crowd, who managed to drown out Paul Rodgers for most of the evening, with their enthusiastic singing. It was more like a mass-karaoke session than a concert, but a wonderful night nevertheless and yes...the spirit of Freddy was definitely present!

I was in 2 minds whether to go, but the significant other decided it would be a good idea. I've never really warmed to Paul Rodgers fronting Queen, but I am going to go with an open mind. Any chance to sing Queen songs at full volume accompanied by Brian, Roger, Spike and Jamie sounds good to me!!!
