Dogs are generally great with kids. When I was young our doggy Flossie use to lick my tears off my face when I use to cry... saved a bunch on tissues and making a mess on mums tops! This is Suzy, who is getting on for 13... and unfortuantely suffering the signs of old age, poor thing... How I spend my afternoons after getting home from a long shift! Sorry for the Largness I'm stil new to this whole photobucket thingy!

I had a border collie that lived until he was 21 so she may just be a young pup! Must admit though my dog was deaf and short-sighted at that age and very very grey in places. His name may have had something to do with it, I called him Binky Fotheringay Smythe after a character I was reading in a book at the time (I know - I was very young) He was probably bullied by every dog in the neighbourhood which must've toughened him up ;D

womaninchains, She's so cute! The dog we had when I was a young child and my grandparents dog used to lay or sit next to me when I sat in the grass.

As in "D for Dog?" Too funny!! Yes! Also my friends cat is called 'Pita' which apparently is the initials for a phrase that means having a hurt in the nether regions!

Sally - you have some cute pets - Chester looks such a character! I am currently under a promise to get a couple of guinea pigs when the weather gets better. Is Gizmo and indoor or an outdoor guinea? Gizmo is an outdoor guinea pig, but I do cover the hutch at night, especially when it's really cold. Yeah, Chester is a character alright. I'm sure Garfield was modelled on him! Some months back, I had a "mouse" problem. (Living in an old Victorian terrace, it happens!) One evening, me and the girls were sitting in the lounge when a little mouse just scuttled across the room, imagine the pandemonium and screaming that ensued, all three of us standing on top of the coffee table, freaking out!! Chester just lay there watching the mouse and barely moved a muscle. In the end, we had to get the next door neighbours cat (a real mouser) to come in and show Chester how it was done!! The look on Chester's face was priceless, I swear he curled his lip in disgust and disdain, then rolled over and went back to sleep!

Brilliant - Go Chester! ;D I used to have a cat with a similar personality called Maurice. I had a next-door neighbour with a Springer Spaniel that barked constantly, much to my cat's annoyance. We were in the garden one day and the dog was doing the usual and also sticking his nose under the fence to sniff the cat. Maurice just looked at me, put his ears back and jumped down from the chair he was on. He went over to the dogs nose, grabbed it with his claws and bit it!!! Needless to say the dog kept well away from the fence from then on!
