Thanks! Skalis doesn't mean anything, but shell is called skal in swedish and I guess that's where the name came from. We got him when he was a couple of years old.

So I guess it's like being called Shelly here? I just quite liked the word - sounds all masculine and strong - SKALIS - actually a good name for a rock band!

Sorry about the previous message...I really need to talk to the person who owns the server I use with regard to those messages. They don't always come up Anyway yes, this is Freddie...named after Mr. Mercury himself! As I said in my previous message (which I've deleted so I cut down on spamming this place), this is what I do...so apologies for the watermark and everything. Hopefully this one has worked ok and you're not getting any more abuse from my server host

Here are my pets, Chester the cat, Cassie the dog and Gizmo the Guinea Pig!!! Don't worry if the cat looks a bit odd! He's only got one eye!

I have a hard time "seeing" that it could work as a name for a rock band but when I hear the word I think of my turtle so that's probably why. =) Sally, your pets are so cute!

As far as I know the difference between the two is that a turtle lives in water and a tortoise on land.

Sally - you have some cute pets - Chester looks such a character! I am currently under a promise to get a couple of guinea pigs when the weather gets better. Is Gizmo and indoor or an outdoor guinea?

Yes, I know that but some people are unintentionally ignorant and just call them all turtles Debbie - thanks! I'm very flattered by your comments And yes...I'm only 17 but have had commission work for calendars distributed worldwide by a company...erm, and have had a piece in the local paper etc. Basically it's a passion that became an obsession about a year and a half ago and I've just taught myself how to use a camera. But yes, in answer to your question - I would at present consider it my living I'm actually looking into getting some new calendars printed up to send out sometime this year
