those painted white 'spots' (collision causers) ....(local council 'cheaper' options) ....they call 'roundabouts' ?? ... a car cut a corner and drove over (not around) one last nite when i was already coming around it myself and forced me to swerve, hit the kerb (hard), mount the pavement, and wrap my car round a lamp post...and to make matters worse he left the scene and drove off, (up the wrong side of the road). my car is lookin' like a 'right off' and i'm so freakin' $%$£&! off!

. . . Oh yes! One of my many pet hates ing. Are you OK? I'm so sorry that this idiot happened to be driving around at the same time as you and that your poor car is broken. Only consolation I suppose is to think 'what goes around comes around.' On another note, I hope you don't get charged for damage to the lamp post, that happened to a friend of mine - bloomin' unfair

Eeek! Ing, are YOU okay? That's the first and most important thing. Second, did you report it to the police? Third, are they likely to be helpful? I'm not even going to think about the lamp post thingy that Deb is talking about except to send good thoughts on that front. How are things going to be without your car... getting to work etc?

thank you, YES, i am ok....you're all so sweet with your thoughtfulness and concern. i didn't sleep at all last nite going over the 'what if's'... what if i'd just let him collide with my car? (then he couldn't have gotten away and would be footing the bill now)... what if i'd gone another route?... what if i'd left five mins earlier?... what if i'd just stayed at home?... what if we'd both been really hurt?.... 'what if'? life's full of them 'what if's' we accept that you can't predict the unpredictable, deal with, and move on (eventually).... right now, i'm still %$^£*&^% off!!!! --the lamp post? ..it survived! -- me? ...survived too! just minor injuries...bruised knee, some rib, back, neck and wrist pain today....but all good. --the police? ....yup spent an hour at 'their place' today...(and very nice eye candy he was too) ..there's not alot they can do but they will take a statement from the witness which can be used with my insurance claim...not that THAT will stop me losing my 'no claims' discount . --the car? ...a total mess. not driveable even. aswell as the obvious body work issue that come with such an accident, the tyre is blown, the alloy is smashed, and the wheel?...WELL, that has been shunted right high up into the wheel arch. infact my whole steering system has been shunted to the right which is the concern now....driving it home was quite an experience...it was burnin' rubber big time....hoping to get a courtesy car when i report it to the insurance co tomorrow morning. -- the other driver?... he and his shiny red hatchback got away with it ...what a TOTAL $%£^&%!

-- the other driver?... he and his shiny red hatchback got away with it ...what a TOTAL $%£^&%! Glad you're okay. Everything else can be fixed. As for the other driver getting away with it. I think you described him correctly. My thoughts on a selfish man who doesn't take responsibility for himself and help others? Well, life is too short to spend it wasting time with that sort. Kathy

Aww Ingy you poor thing. Hope you're ok and sorry to hear about the car. Can't believe some people are let out on the roads to drive. I know you keep thinking about the 'what ifs', but if you had have let him hit you, he probaby either wouldn't have stopped, or wouldn't have had insurance. Or even worse, they sided with him. It happened to a friend of mine - the other person was in the wrong, but my friend had to pay out, because he was the "inexperienced" driver.
If you ever track him down, we'll go round and rough him up for you if you want x
