Hi Ruthie
In answer to your question, I don't have any tattoo's (too chicken), I don't miss having any but equally I understand why other people have them. I do think that it is something you should not rush into without a lot of thought and consideration (as Ingy did) as they are for life you know. You can have them removed but I heard that is not so good. As a parent I sympathise somewhat with your mum and imagined me saying the same thing that Ingy's mum did! *feels old* I guess what I'm trying to say is as long as you have thought about it from every direction, are fully aware of all the implications, have given the decision enough time and you are still longing to have it done - then do - it's your body!

Ruthie, i think tattoo's can be great, but if it doesn't turn out how you planned, you could be scarred for life. Think about it lots and lots, different tattoo's suit different people! Think about how your life/thoughts/opinions/tastes might change after you've had it done, how you'll look with it when your older etc etc. Not meaning to be all negative about tattoos, i do really like them, (ingy's new one and tonys cross on the top of his arm expecially- i also liked tamara wall's (wwry cast member london) barcode on the back of her neck- some say tacky i say cool!! ;D) but my advice would be think about it, and think about what your going to have, its a descision only you can make ultimatley! Good luck though and let us know what you decide!
Out of the ones you've shown, i would say no to number 5, and yes to number 3 & 4!
