Hey everyone! One of Tony's loyal fans (and supporters of TVW), Lisa Kover, entered a competition a couple of months ago with craftstylish.com to win an "Ultimate Sewing Room" (a whole host of crafting goodlies valued at approximately $7,059 U.S.). The judges have chosen their top 10 and now it's over to the public vote to crown a winner. Deservedly, Lisa has found herself in 2nd place out of 8000 entries! To close the gap and put her in the lead, some 300+ votes are needed between now and the closing date of 27th January '09. Due to a physical disability which gives her chronic pain and prevents her from getting out much, Lisa must depend on her internet friends to help boost her votes. And so, I am appealing to you all now to rally together and help us get her to that all important number one position so she can claim that fabulous prize! Voting is a simple 'one off' process. Just go to this link --> reg.taunton.com/webapps/ultimate_sewing_room_voting.htmlselect " Lisas Ultimate Sewing Room" and click " vote" (you will need to enter your name and email address for your vote to be counted and voters must be 18yrs or over). Thank you all in advance SO much for taking the time to do this. Let's hope our votes will help take Lisa to the top - to where she needs to be! - Go Lisa! GO! -ing x

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share something with you. As you might know, I did NOT win the contest. I was very sad, but the other girl that won, obviously needed the prizes more than me ( I keep telling myself that so it will sink in lol). Anyway, a day after I lost a woman from one of the other forums I frequent, sent me an email and GAVE me a brand new sewing machine!!! She felt bad that I had lost and had this machine that she had given her dad, her dad sadly passed away a few weeks after she gave him the machine and it was just sitting in her house wasting away!! She had no interest in sewing and didn't know what to do with the sewing machine until now!! This machine can be run without a foot peddle ...so it is so much better for me than the one I would have won in the contest!! I have a nerve diease called RSD and its extremely painful, and its centered in my right leg, which is the leg I use to sew with. So basically everything works out in the end. And I really wanted to thank you all for voting for me I really did appreciate it. I can not believe the generosity of people these days!!

Wow, Lisa, that is a fantastic outcome:-) Good on you for having such a wonderful attitude to your loss and good on that lovely lady for being so generous.
I've seen so many expressions of generosity in this last week. We've had these terrible fires down here in Australia with nearly 180 people dead and whole towns wiped out. The bravery, attitudes and generosity of people has been amazing to watch. It is so cool to see the best side of people.
