Having spent months creating my cosy little home on Myspace, I am frequently hearing people talking about 'Facebook' and have finally relented and registered on there too. Workmates who have previously banged on to me that 'Myspace is for losers with no lives' are now totally hooked on Facebook, but I can't see what the big fuss is all about! I find Myspace much easier to navigate and customise and think the idea of 'poking' someone, as you are encouraged to do on Facebook, is positively rude! LOL Some come on all you Facebook lovers out there...please explain to me what is so wonderful about the place because right now I'm just not 'getting it'!

You're right, Facebook seems very plain and basic compared to Myspace. I doubt I'll be using it much. Myspace is far from perfect, but at least I can find my way around on there! lol P.S. I hope your dreams get a bit more interesting!

I never bothered joining Facebook...I wuv my Myspack...it's all Shaz-ish and I'm very happy with it. Plus, preppies seem to enjoy Facebook...therefore I refuse to go anywhere within 100 miles of it

All my uni mates go on about facebook, and my mate signed me up for it, but i never go on it, its so plain, boring and i dont like the way it tells you what everyone has been doing.. i dont really care that someone i know has added someone they know?!?!?!
Myspace is better, more fun, plus you get more 'celebrities' (mainly for me comedians and bands) on there so you can keep upto date with things like tour dates and news.

Agree agree agree...who cares who knows who and who wrote what on whose wall at what time?? Not me! Well I shall persevere with it for a bit, but Myspace rules...I shall never again complain when Myspace consigns my emails to cyber-space...better the devil you know!

After all your talk about facebook I got curious and went to the page, I haven't and doesn't feel like signing up there because it looks very boring...=/ It doesn't look like a community wich I guess it is.. MySpace atleast looks like it's alive and that there are some activity..

Well after all my negative remarks about Facebook, I'm quite chuffed with it today as it's put me in touch with two Norwegian cousins I never knew I had...so it's not so bad after all

I joined facebook a couple months ago... it's ok. I like the connection with my school on there, but I prefer myspace because I can edit it, and I can also turn off email notifications which I haven't been able to do on facebook.

I know what you mean, I got extremely cheesed off in the beginning when I kept getting emails every 10 seconds! You should be able to change your account settings if you click on Account in the top right menu (next to "Home"), then select the Notifications tab...you can then deselect some or all of the instances when Facebook sends you an email alert. Hope that helps Kelsy.
