..and about the Ukraine entry..I don't know what to say..I hate it! But they say it has become a favourite and I don't understand how...=/ The head of department (or something) of ESC here in Sweden has said that if Ukraine wins with that entry he's going to resign because then they've made ESC into a joke..or something like that.. . . . it got through to the final, so I guess someone must like it *is amazed*! Who voted in the semi-finals btw?

Well i don't like it coz it's not eurovision anymore Time to split it into regions then the winner of each region goes through to the final! But the same old *yawns* voting fiasco again - Tel W was on good form though. Who on earth was the dreadful woman in the pink dress? Thought the set was amazing, was thankful nobody was set alight by the many fireworks (although there were a few performances that made me a little hopeful) ;D.

I think so too (about the woman in the pink dress) but I didn't think she was funny.. But except that I think that it was a great eurovision this year even though it didn't go well for Sweden... The hosts were great, the winning song was good and they had an amazing interval! =)

Could be worse...they could have cancelled 'Joseph'!
We don't get Joseph so I don't care about that;-) Dr Who on the other hand, that's desperate.

*wonders why they show it in Oz*
Hey, what are you saying about Australia? We have a large multicultural population and a TV station that has showing European movies, shows etc as a priority. Kathy

Sir Terry of Wogan didn't get quite as pished as he has in previous years, but a classic nonetheless!! Perhaps in future years it might be an idea to have the songs sung without knowing which country they were represented by. It might just remind everybody that it is supposed to be a competition based on the quality of the song, and not actually the political aspect of who is friends with whom, and which country has the most to gain (or lose) by awarding the 12 points. Maybe the UK might start to take it a bit more seriously again, and actually vote for a song that will do us justice rather than going for an obvious "cheesecake" song

Kathy
LOL! I just thought that as we in Europe are finding it more and more ridiculous, the good people in Oz may also and not even be interested in watching it as they are not represented. I can understand the European movies, shows and Doctor Who!

Flying the flippin flag eh? I would personally like to shove it up their backsides!
