Does anyone have one? Have you actually managed to do the required 10,000 steps in a 'normal' day - i.e. not running a marathon? I'm getting increasingly frustrated with mine, despite walking from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm without hardly stopping plus all the usual walking I've still only managed 8,500 steps. 'Tis soon to be filed in the bin - grrrr!

I have had a few, and they are all cak! They register a 'step' even if you just shake the bleeding thing ever so slightly, so you never get a true reading! I'm sticking to pushing the pram around the park every day........no Molly, I'm going to put Bella in just to confuse people!

I got a free one from Walkers when they were big on getting fit. Like Cesca said it registered steps from just shaking it or attaching it to my belt. I wonder how far 10,000 steps is? I did 14,000 during a shift at my old job, then the blasted thing shot off across the floor (obviously with all the excitement), so I had to start over again.

Wow! *bows low* 14,000 steps!!!! *looks at stoopid thing* I've done 8,720 today so I may make the 10,000 if I jog around the kitchen.

LOL! I did actually manage 10,400 yesterday and this morning I tested out the 'shaking' theory. It does indeed register each shake - so - in theory if you dance around the kitchen you should double the reading (and give the people walking along the canal a good laugh)!!!!

My mom and friends are really into pedometers. =) My mom gets about 2,000 steps at work, and she made me wear it at school, and I had 2,000 by the first hour. I had 6,800 at 2 pm but I took it off. XD
Maybe walking is coming back. ^.^ Or at least pedometers are.
