Sorry, I'm a bit out of the loop....what is it? Dancing on ice? Is it a new reality show about figure skating?

It's a tv show in which celebrities are linked to a professional skating partner and they dance on ice. They are being judged by a jury and every week a couple gets eliminated. We have Dancing on ice and Dancing with the stars over here. They're both airing live at the same time but on different channels which is very annoying because there's a lot of competition going on between these two shows and the amount of commercials for both shows are, again, very annoying. Friday's is the live show and on saturday the skate-off..so 4 shows in 2 days I'm glad there are so many people who actually enjoy it, but unfortunately I don't

Ahhh haa! Now I get it, you know it does get frusterating when they put two nitch shows in the same time slot, I guess for those that like the both thank heaven for TiVo! Hmmm...It seems like it would be much tougher than most, having to learn all those moves on skates so quickly....are any of the couples very good?
What will they come up with next....flaming batons with the stars?
Edited for goofy fbnts errors!

Sammie,
it must be a good show, it is interesting how addictive these shows can be! Here in the states they have "Dirty Dancing" which is a bit like the movie but where the male dancer picks 3 newbie dancers to train for "the big show" and there is also "Grease: You're the One That I Want" Which is an open casting for The Broadway Musical ..and the picks go to "Grease Academy" to battle it out for the lead staring rolls on Broadway and then a few of the other leads are picked for the traveling shows which I assume will be going on at the same time....
When I was ill there wasn't much for me to do and I couldn't concentrate on much of anything so I flipped on the tube and these two shows hooked me...drat! *laugh* We have "Dancing With the Stars" here in the states too but not the dancing on ice.

I haven't watched this programme yet, I'm still reeling from the excitement of Strictly Come Dancing & I'm a Celeb...
I have been watching American Idol this evening, tis quite amusing because most of them are so rubbish!

It sounds like a show I would watch if we had it here.. We only have a Swedish version of Dancing with the stars called Let's Dance wich is a great show..although I usually look at another swedish entertainment show wich airs at the same time..

I couldn't believe how high the standard was on Dancing on Ice this year. I thought Claire Buckfield was fabulous. It's far more interesting to see celebrities really working hard and having to put some serious effort into something for their fee.

I loved the Johnny Cash fan with the really deep voice. As soon as you hear the words "I'm fab, I'm the next American Idol, you just know they're going to be very very bad. Oh and the Wizard of Oz lover was just freaky!!
