You make it sound like we're all alcoholics ;D I blame my parents for my love for wine. My dad used to grow his own grapes and make wine when I was younger and both parents are quality wine drinkers. So yeah, guess it's in my genes

There's a vast difference between appreciating the odd glass of wine and drinking a crate load of the stuff every day! I would hope that none of us do that! lol
My last boyfriend was a great lover of wine and I guess that's where I developed a taste for it. Prior to that, my idea of a good bottle of wine was Lambrusco or Liebraumilch. Thank goodness I know better now. Not that I'm a wine snob, I'll sip most things...but generally I find the cheaper the wine the bigger the hangover!
So what's everyone's favourite? I like a nice Chilean Cabernet or Californian/Australian Chardonnay...or an Italian Chianti...or a (blimey, I AM starting to sound like an alcoholic!!!)

There's nothing better at the end of a busy day, once the kids are bathed and put to bed, than to curl up on the sofa with a chilled glass of pinot grigio. Kind of takes the edge off things. Unfortunately, one glass suddenly becomes two, and then three!! (I'm not an alcoholic though, I just have to finish the bottle so I can put it in the recycling bin!)

I do enjoy a glass of wine or 2 or 3 or 4 when out! I like the taste but i agree with pam the cheaper the wine the worser the hangover!
My dad has always made wine and it has always tasted rank, he used to test it out on me! so ive been bought up with it, funny though cause both my parents dont drink mcuh, they must have 5 glasses of wine a year :-O,
I love newtons the puzzle, chanti, barlo, rijo, white zin or red zin! both are good!

He he! I love the odd glass of good wine *understatement* but unfortunately it doesn't always like me! If I drink certain wines (not always the cheap ones) I go all blotchy and get a stomach-ache in the morning. The other day I had a Valpolicella which caused me a problem and then had a different one at a friends a week later which was fine There must be something in certain wines that I'm allergic to - anyone have any ideas or suffer the same? I guess New world wines are my favourites, Californian, Australian, South African etc *fondly remembers trip to Napa Valley and goes to dig out photo's*

my love for the grape arrived long before i can remember. both my parents were teachers which meant that every school holiday it would entail with a trip to france to the infamous wine areas of the loire etc. so i have been taking small sips since i was a wee one and the sips have grown as i have. in addition to going to the wine regions i was also taken to every cognac distillary in Cognac.. oh a deprived childhood i know but please - dont feel sorry for me. hehe

Wow, I feel a bit out of the loop, seeing as how I've never really gotten into wine. I'm partial to Bailey's or a nice brown ale.
