At least you're giving it a go! A really good sturdy sports bra is a must though. (almost as important as the trainers!!) Yeh I did discover that today....still "we" managed, and I didn't knock myself out either or give myself black eyes, so looks like I did ok!!

It's the chafing though my girl!! It's not always immediately obvious until it's too late!! Believe me, a blister on your foot is nothing until you have experienced chafing of the...ahem...chest!!!

I did a bit of exercise myself today actually. I walked the girls to school!! (No, I don't live 5 minutes from the school before you ask!) ............I'd run out of petrol in the car.....!

Hehe desperate times and all that!! Well done girl!! Well I woke up this morning and felt fine...sat in my car and thought, hang on my back hurts, then found I couldn't close my legs properly (now now ladies, be kind). I now feel like I've been doing the splits constantly. And they say exercise is supposed to make you feel better!!

I would just like to say a HUGE thanks to everyone that has supported me so positively to my post about my life changing resolution. I would really like to share with you the message that my eldest daughter put into her christmas card for me:
Dear Mum, Thank you that you're always there, Thank you that you always care! Thank you for being my special friend. Always there until the very end! "Merry Christmas!" Love from Izzy
I was so very proud of that, and I would like to make it public because it is really so special to me. Being a Mum really rocks!!

Bit late to this one, but quite a lot is happening for me in the New Year. I handed my notice in at work and finished on the 30th December. (scary, but necessary. I needed a new challenge) That same week I opened my Ebay account (with a view to eventually being able to work from home) In the meantime, whilst waiting for that to build up, I start work at a lovely little restaurant on the 11th January for 2 days a week. My eldest daughter will be starting at "big school" in september, and has taken entrance exams for all the really good grammar schools in the area, as well as a scholarship placement for King Edwards High School for Girls. Obviously, we don't find out till march which school she has secured a place at, but I wanted to be prepared, as far as my time is concerned, to be in a position where I could really support her, so we could make the most of all the opportunities avaliable to her at these schools. That means my time is a very precious commodity, hence all the changes!! I suppose you could say that my New Years resolution was to change my lifestyle in order to be the best Mum I could possibly be to my kids. Just a follow up to this thread really. We received notification today that Isabella has been offered a place at King Edwards High School for Girls!! It is a governers assisted place which basically means that her fees will be paid for out of the Goveners fund. (Fees are currently £8,995 a year!!) It is a huge achievement for Isabella, and I am so unbelievably proud of her!! It looks like my lifestyle changes were for the best after all. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
