I have to go into hospital in a few weeks to have my gall bladder removed I'll be in for a night at the least, and 3 if there are any complications. Needless to say I will miss Molly heaps, and it will be the first time spending a night away from her. Adam is worried that he will end up dressing her in something that really doesn't match hehe.

hehe yup! I had to go in and have bloods taken on tuesday....I nearly fainted and my arm still hurts like hell! Ouch! They must've been quite brutal then Does that usually happen? I'm one of those unfortunate people who has deep set veins and it takes about 6 attempts to get some blood. Sometimes in the hospital the nurses have been known to call the anesthetist in to find one! Anyway, I always get some Emla Cream (I think that's the spelling) from my GP before I have any bloods taken. It numbs the skin quite nicely before the attack (sorry ing)! You could try this if it's an on-going problem. p.s. Didn't childbirth stop the squeamishness?

Usually not, this is the only time I have felt faint, usually I dread it but look away and then 'poof' it's over with. But it took the doc 2 attempts at scratching away at my vein, and 4 bottles of my blood later I nearly had a mishap lol! Childbirth wasn't too bad as I was as high as a kite and couldn't actually see anything lol!

Take care Ces. Hope it all goes well for you. How long is the recovery period? You say "gall bladder removed" like it's something simple. Is it really?
It will be difficult leaving Molly. Will this be the first time you've spent a night apart? Poor you, poor Molly:-(
Hugs Kathy

If I do stay overnight (they keep you in to make sure you wee etc), it will be the first full day/night I have spent away from Molly

Do nurses like being patients? nurses make the WORST patients...too much knowledge and inside info. i need to have an endoscopy (magic eye) myself but fear being a patient, so have avoided thus far....can't recall my last visit to the 'GP' even. ing x
