lol, im fickle as well! got to be in the mood to listen to some of the lyrics in all songs, I love everything we can be! thats my main song out of them all as of the momment!
i dont know if i can put this, but reamber when you were little and the internet wasnt here, when you bought a cd of your favorite singer (you only heard one or two songs on the radio) or you would just buy the cd as you liked the musican! the new songs were a surprise for you on the album they werent talked about much as it was just out! i really hope when he does get his album out, their will be songs not published as a big surprise for us all, i kinda miss it these days with most cd albums you here everything, and so its not so new any more.

I'm loving 'Tonight' and 'Everything we can be'. I'm still not sure about the new drums in 'A better way'...maybe it'll grow on me but I think (at the beginning at least) its too much. Are we allowed to constuctively critisise as well?...*Runs and hides from pointy stick*...Actually...poke me! poke me damn you!...It's exactly what I'd tell Tony if he asked!

Hmmm...definitely a tough question to answer. I like how his vocal style in these songs is so different from the WWRY stuff...I've always been quite partial to tenors, so I'm absolutely loving his latest! I suppose I'd hafta say that "Winter" is my current fave, although it would be easier to judge if we could hear the songs in their entirety. (yes Tony, that was a hint! )

Upon first listening, my immediate favourite was 'Winter'...and having now heard the full-length, live version, I'm sticking with that for now. I'm trying to avoid listening to the clips too much because I'd rather wait until I can hear the songs in all their glory when (no ifs, buts or maybes...but WHEN) the long-awaited CD comes out...that way they will feel all new and fresh and I won't be sick of them! lol *as if I could ever get sick of listening to that voice! *

You know, in 'Better way' and 'We can live as one' Tony's voice sounds deeper and richer to me, 'tis very interesting as I thought voices get deeper with age Or maybe my hearing has changed with age!

You know, in 'Better way' and 'We can live as one' Tony's voice sounds deeper and richer to me, 'tis very interesting as I thought voices get deeper with age Or maybe my hearing has changed with age! It's true that voices do change with age but I think that happens further into the 40s, so Tony is a fair way off that at the moment. I like all the different tone colours he is experimenting with in these songs. They suit the lyrics. I just adore his voice and to hear him using it in different ways just gives me greater admiration for what he is attempting to do. It shows his versatility and that he is still growing and challenging himself with his instrument. That's really positive for his future growth as an artist. You have to go forwards or you go backwards. I know which one I'd prefer him to be doing:-) I'm liking all the songs for different reasons, depending on my mood. I can hardly wait until we get the chance to hear some of these on the CD, live and complete. Kathy

Of course, I have to say that the aspect of Tony's voice that made me a fan are his high notes. To my ear, the purity and colour of those sounds is truly unique and exquisite. They make him stand out from the crowd of voices out there. I feel that some songs really bring out that aspect of his voice, like Who Wants to Live Forever, whereas current rock music styles don't seem to offer the same opportunities. There seem to be more songs in Musicals that tap into that aspect of his voice.
Let's be honest, you don't have to have a good voice to be a successful rock star. I sometimes think that a good voice is actually a liability in that field. I miss hearing that part of Tony's voice in his new songs, even though I'm really enjoying the songs. I just don't think they show off the truly unique and special part of his voice, but that is the nature of the style so I just have to accept that and be happy he is doing something he really wants to do.
