I know, it's insane. The plaster thing is a mixture of "assault" and also fear that the child may be allergic to the plaster...if that happens they school could be in a lot of trouble. It's insane how much it's changed in the last few years though. I mean, I'm not that long out of primary school if you think about it, but they were allowed to give you plasters then! It's out of control now And yeah, the volunteering was fun, although it was mainly to help with my confidence I did a mixture of office work (I learnt how to use a photocopier haha!) and work with the children in class and one to one. Fell in love with some of the kids...a couple in particular; one was a little girl with cerebral palsy who was a complete sweetie. She always came to me if she had a problem, which was adorable. Also, a boy who was considered to have behavioural problems and wasn't allowed in a class with other children, so he had to work in the library. Did lots of work with him and formed such a wonderful bond. I do miss going to the school to be honest but hey... I used to work with disabled/'troubled' kids, and it was one of the best jobs I ever had. It's very rewarding

New picture up on my portfolio You should be able to find it here however it sometimes screws up. If it does go to the homepage. It's in the portraiture folder, and titled "Porcelain" Not a new shot; one I took of my brother last summer. It's grainy because it's a film shot. Enjoy. [edit] Another 2 added, titled "Blind" and "Take It Easy"

Mmm, he's 12 so it's not like he's a toddler or anything. I just said if he modelling I'd play with him on his playstation haha! Although I didn't Another time he actually volunteered...there's a shot in there where he's covered in water; that was voluntarily I'm lucky I guess

Neeeews!! For the last year a friend and I have wanted to do a collaboration project. She designs and makes dresses, and of course I take photographs. Last year we never got round to doing it, however now things seem to be getting into motion and we're starting to organise a proper shoot. Our ideas at present are actually quite well formed, and I've found the location I'd like to use and she agrees that it will be a good one for the kind of work we'd like to do. So here are our basic ideas at the present time: - Long and flowing ball gown - Ancient woodland with bluebell floor - Woodland church ruins - Full face make up - Styled hair - Natural dappled lighting That's a main outline of what we plan to do. So basically there is a wood near to where I live, and in the spring the entire floor becomes completely covered in bluebells and wild orchids...it's an amazing place. What makes it better is the fact that in this wood there are ruins of an old church and shrine area...it's a very unique location! So we intend to go down to there. My friend Tash (who has modelled for me before) is either going to make or buy a dress...she's yet to decide, however she will be sharing design ideas with me soon. This shoot will be purely for fashion purposes. I need to practise my fashion photography, and she wants some shots for her design portfolio so basically everyone is a winner if we manage to pull it off! I personally am very excited about it ;D But yeah, opinions would be great, and if you have any ideas that you think would enhance our own please don't hesitate to mention them.

Sounds great! I want to see the result! I'm not too good at this sort of thing shaz so I won't make any suggestions, but I do love bluebell woods.

The location sounds pretty unique btw. It's incredible...really amazing place. One of those classic "only in England" places, you know? Thanks Debbie Hopefully the shoot will take place in the next few weeks...maybe a months time. We have a lot to organise
